Conductor of vast experience and sensibility, appreciated both in Italian and French repertoire, he was assistant to Claudio Abbado and Leonard Bernstein, later on tying his name to that of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa with whom he regularly runs international tours. Julian Reynolds has received numerous invitations at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Wexford Opera Festival, the Rossini Opera Festival, the Arena in Verona, the Teatro Regio in Parma and has conducted many orchestras including: the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Dutch Radio Philharmonic, the Netherlands Philharmonic. His recording of Ma Mère l’Oye has described by BBC Radio 3 as the best commercial version.

  

M° Reynolds returns to Moscow where in the recent months he conducted Maria Stuarda at the Tchaikovsky Hall and La Sonnambula at the Bolshoi Theatre, while at the Theatre de La Monnaie in Brussels he recently conducted Lucia di Lammermoor.

  

Future plans include: Lucia di Lammermoor at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie.
